Argote's own CV lists a same-year companion piece, Argote & Epple (1990) 'Learning Curves in Manufacturing' (Science 247:920-924), alongside the confirmed exact citation for the Management Science paper
Linda Argote's own current curriculum vitae, fetched and read directly, confirms the exact title, author order, journal, volume, and page range of the 1990 paper this vault's organizational-forgetting cluster has so far known only through Benkard's and Thompson's citations of it: "Argote, L., Beckman, S., & Epple, D. (1990). The Persistence and Transfer of Learning in Industrial Settings. Management Science, 36, 140-154." The same CV entry also lists a second, previously unknown-to-this-vault 1990 publication: "Argote, L., & Epple, D. (1990). Learning Curves in Manufacturing. Science, 247, 920-924" — a two-author companion piece, published the same year in a shorter-format general-science venue, that drops Beckman as a co-author.
The companion piece's own text has not been located or read this session (see the capture's "Further leads"); its existence is recorded here as a distinct bibliographic fact and as a lead, since a Science article's condensed format makes it a plausible place for the paper's headline depreciation figure to surface even if the fuller Management Science original stays unreachable. This claim establishes only bibliographic identity for both papers — what they are titled, where they appeared, who wrote them — not what either paper found; the depreciation-rate figure itself remains unverified at primary.
