Sara Beckman
Faculty member at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, and the middle co-author of Argote, Beckman & Epple's 1990 Management Science paper, "The Persistence and Transfer of Learning in Industrial Settings" — the founding study this vault's entire organizational-forgetting cluster measures itself against. This vault's existing notes had consistently shorthanded the paper to "Argote et al.," under-naming Beckman relative to Argote and Epple; this page exists to stop doing that.
Known to the vault only through bibliographic citation so far — her own contribution to the 1990 paper's methodology (a labor-turnover term added to Rapping's (1965) specification, per Thompson's 1997 description) has not been individually attributed to her versus her co-authors, and none of her own work has been read at primary by this vault.
