Pierre F. Goodrich

Indianapolis businessman and lawyer (1894-1973) who founded Liberty Fund in 1960, the classical-liberal educational foundation whose Law & Liberty imprint still publishes today. Decades before founding it, Goodrich spent 1948 to 1965 as a trustee of the China Institute of America — a Sino-American cultural institution co-founded in 1926 by John Dewey and Hu Shih — where he personally met the Chinese philosopher Y.P. Mei at Wabash College in 1950-51.
