The Black Vault

A FOIA-research archive (theblackvault.com) run by John Greenewald Jr., hosting original scanned government documents obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests. It supplied this vault's first directly-read primary source for AATIP report authorship — DIA's 9 January 2018 letter to the Senate Armed Services Committee. It matters to this vault as a recurring host of primary defense/fringe-science documents: a discovery point worth returning to whenever a claim in this thread needs a primary record rather than a secondary paraphrase.

Updates

• 2026-10-28: Hosts the earliest-known primary AAWSAP documents found in this vault — a November 2009 DIA memorandum/talking-points packet for the Deputy Secretary of Defense, and a December 2008 contract-status briefing — both FOIA-released and otherwise unavailable elsewhere, extending the archive's role as this cluster's primary-document host back to the program's own creation-era paperwork.
