claim-brooks-1991-does-not-cite-dreyfus and claim-david-brachet-2011-citing-papers-contain-zero-ml-work are both argument-from-silence findings in the sense moc-argument-from-silence tracks: each reaches a negative conclusion — no citation lineage — by complete enumeration rather than keyword search. The Brooks note reads all fifteen entries of Brooks's 1991 reference list directly and finds no Dreyfus. The David-Brachet note queries the Semantic Scholar Graph API's /citations endpoint for every paper indexed as citing David & Brachet's 2011 paper — all sixty, retrieved in one page — and finds none is machine-learning or connectionist work.

Only the Brooks note is currently indexed as such: it carries the tags argument-from-silence and negative-citation and appears in moc-argument-from-silence's cluster list. The David-Brachet note carries neither tag (its tags name the method family — citation-analysis, bibliometrics, cross-domain-bridge — but not the cluster) and is absent from the MOC, despite meeting the MOC's own definition of the cluster.

The two notes are not exact structural mirrors, though. Brooks's is a backward-looking check — what Brooks's own paper cites. The David-Brachet note above is instead a forward-looking, reception-side check — who cites David & Brachet. The precise backward-direction analog on the David-Brachet side is a separate, already-existing note, claim-david-brachet-2011-reference-list-contains-zero-ml-citations (David & Brachet's own 24-entry reference list, read directly, contains no ML citation) — the note that actually mirrors Brooks's method entry-for-entry. Both David-Brachet-side notes share the same tagging gap.
