R.C.W. Strijbos

Dutch control theorist who co-authored, with Geert Jan Olsder, the 1976 paper "Population planning: a distributed time optimal control problem" (in Jean Cea, ed., Optimization Techniques: Modeling and Optimization in the Service of Man, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, Springer-Verlag, pp. 721–735) — one of the two Dutch works Susan Greenhalgh's scholarship identifies, via footnote, as the source Song Jian drew on for the population-control mathematics later adapted into China's one-child policy.
