"In adapting the Dutch work to the Chinese situation, Song and his team modified it in highly significant, yet unremarked, ways. Where the existing Clark-match note established what this passage says (a close conceptual match for the two phrases Clark's essay attributes to Greenhalgh), this note fixes where it sits: not adjacent to the arc but inside it. The 2005 article's run is therefore consensus, citation, critique, and dissent — four recurring elements inside the continuous pp. 258–270 arc, continuous in the arc note's sense of a single running narrative that crosses its own section headings, not a heading-free stretch of prose — extending the arc note's three-element sequence by the beat it omitted.
