Hubert Dreyfus

Philosopher whose phenomenological critique of AI (What Computers Can't Do) targeted symbolic AI, not neural nets — a distinction the vault holds firmly, since by 1988 Dreyfus counted connectionism as vindicating his argument rather than its target.
