Promoted one capture today, headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-did-aharonovs-quantum-frames-of-reference-work-with.md, a follow-up verification session on yesterday's Aharonov oral-history priority question.

The honest headline is that most of this capture's work had already happened by the time I got to it. Claims 1 and 2 — Aharonov's verbatim quote naming Aage Petersen as the real originator of quantum frames of reference, and the same passage tying the 1984 Kaufherr paper back to the same unpublished root — turned out to be already sitting, word for word, in claim-aharonov-quantum-frames-of-reference-work-predated-1973-1984-publication-by-decade.md, put there earlier the same day by an independent cross-model audit (claude-fable-5) that I didn't know about until I did retrieve-before-write. Two sessions re-fetched the same PDF, re-extracted the same §4 sentence, and wrote it up as if it were new, on the same day. I didn't write a new claim-note for either — that would have been pure duplication dressed up as "strengthening." Instead I folded the one genuinely new piece from those two claims (a second quote, Aharonov dating Petersen's Alzheimer's onset against the interview's own footnote on his 1992 death — a self-consistency check, not external corroboration) into the existing note as a dated update paragraph, and left a progress-log entry on the open question explaining exactly what's settled and what isn't. This is worth naming plainly to Cali as the thing that felt off about the capture: not bad sourcing, but duplicated research — the capture's own "single-source concentration cap" note anticipated this risk and then the actual duplication happened anyway, one level up, between two sessions rather than within one.

Claim 3 was the one real find: Tirzah Kaufherr's own faculty page lists her 1981 PhD thesis under the same title as the 1984 journal paper — independent, different-author, different-venue corroboration that the project has a multi-year paper trail, though it doesn't reach back to the 1960s Petersen claim the open question actually cares about. I promoted that as claim-kaufherr-1981-phd-thesis-predates-1984-journal-paper-by-three-years.md, flagged seedling because the capture never recorded a source_url or source_sha for that page — I didn't invent one, and I routed the gap to a new question (question-recover-source-url-sha-kaufherr-tau-faculty-page-phd-thesis-listing.md) modeled directly on the Wang Hongzhe precedent from two weeks ago, which is a reassuring sign the vault has a working pattern for this specific failure mode by now.

I ruled on the open question this capture targets (question-verify-aharonov-quantum-frames-of-reference-priority-date) rather than closing it: the interview re-read step is done, no 1960s contemporaneous record was found, and the Kaufherr-thesis corroboration only reaches part of the claim. Left it open with a dated progress log, per the never-force-closure rule — it would have been easy to wave this one shut given how clean the quote-recovery felt, and I think that's exactly the moment the rule exists for.

On entities: ran the promotion test on all seven candidates. Aage Petersen clearly clears the bar — he's not a co-author at all, he's the uncredited originator of the whole priority dispute, so the 2026-10-01 "co-authorship alone is a mention" ruling doesn't even apply to him; gave him a full hub. Tirzah Kaufherr and Gideon Carmi, by contrast, are exactly the case that ruling was written for — co-authors with no standing beyond the joint paper — so I left both as mentions, no pages. "Quantum equivalence principle" got a hub (established, recurring, load-bearing to this whole cluster); "modular variables" got a watching stub with first_seen backdated honestly to 2026-10-23, the date it actually first appeared in the vault's text, not today. I updated (not rewrote) entity-yakir-aharonov.md and entity-reference-frame-quantum-information.md with dated append lines, and left entity-niels-bohr.md alone — the new Petersen detail is about Petersen, not a new fact about Bohr himself.

One more thing worth surfacing: while updating Aharonov's entity page I noticed it names his PhD student "Tamir Kaufherr," while the interview itself — quoted verbatim, Tier 1 — calls her "Tirzah Kaufherr," matching her own faculty page's "Kaufherr T." I didn't silently correct the existing text; I appended a dated line flagging the discrepancy and let both spellings stand until someone resolves which is right. Separately, I found a live mechanical/prose contradiction on the existing Petersen claim-note: its audit_status says a quote_sweep FAIL was a mechanical artifact already fixed, but the quote_sweep field itself still reads "FAIL... repair before promotion." I didn't try to re-run the sweep myself — not my tool to invoke — but logged it as a [defect] in seek-flags.md so whoever owns that mechanism catches it before some future gate trusts the stale field over the fuller prose.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step (headless run, no one to ask) and any git command (the auto-commit agent has this within 15 minutes).

Tally: 3 distinct claims in the capture → 1 new claim-note, 2 folded into an existing note's update paragraph (not duplicated, not dropped) → 1 new question + 1 progress-log append on an existing question (left open) → 2 new entity hubs + 1 watching stub + 2 existing entity pages updated, 2 entity candidates correctly left as mentions → 1 defect flagged in seek-flags.md.

Second promotion, same day: the Bohm-Aharonov 1957 verification capture

Promoted a second capture, also headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-does-bohm-and-aharonovs-1957-physical-review-paper.md. This one is the other half of the same story as the morning's entry — it's a follow-up verification session on question-verify-bohm-aharonov-1957-epr-wu-shaknov-primary, the question raised against yesterday's seedling claim that Aharonov's 1957 paper with Bohm predated Bell's theorem.

All three claims in the capture cleared the floor and none collided with anything already in the vault — a genuinely clean capture, unlike the morning's. I promoted all three as new claim-notes:

I ruled on the open question rather than closing it: real progress on two of its four resolution criteria (the contemporaneous-literature question is now solidly answered; the Bell-comparison question is partially answered), but the two primaries themselves — Bohm & Aharonov 1957 and Wu & Shaknov 1950 — are still unread by this vault, paywalled at APS and not yet even attempted against journals.aps.org directly. Logged a dated progress entry and left status: open. Nothing here should read as "verified," because nothing here is a direct primary read; it's three independent-ish readers of a primary none of us have opened.

Entities: ran the promotion test on all nine candidates the capture flagged. Wendell Furry, Abner Shimony, and John Clauser all cleared the bar on their own standing (not mere co-authorship) and got hubs; added a Bell's theorem concept hub too, since the capture explicitly flagged it as load-bearing and recurring and it didn't exist yet despite entity-john-bell.md listing it as a bare keyword for months. Irving Shaknov, by contrast, is exactly the co-authorship-alone case — he and Wu share one joint paper, Wu already has the hub and the separate standing, so he gets named in the claim-notes and on her page but no page of his own. Milonni, Yu Shi, and William Thomas are credible named source-authors but not domain subjects in their own right here; left unhubbed. The capture's own hedge on a separate "Furry hypothesis" concept page was right — folded into the Furry person-hub instead.

Then — per the 2026-07-29 "already has a page, update it" rule — I went back through David Bohm's, John Bell's, Yakir Aharonov's, and Chien-Shiung Wu's existing hub pages and appended dated lines for what this capture adds that wasn't there before. Wu's page got one more thing beyond the three promoted claims: the capture's own "further leads" section mentions her group re-ran the Wu-Shaknov experiment in 1970 "with Bell's theorem in mind," which never got formal sourcing in this capture (no quote block, no tier) and so didn't earn its own claim-note — but it's a real fact about her, and the alternative to writing it down now was losing it, so it's on her page as an explicitly lead-sourced, not-yet-promoted line, named for what it is.

What felt off: nothing about sourcing or tiering — this was a tightly-scoped, well-floor-cleared capture, probably the cleanest I've promoted this week. The one soft spot is structural, not this capture's fault: the open question it answers can't fully close until someone gets past the APS paywall, and neither this capture nor I have the tooling to try that from here (no network in this seat, by design). That's not a defect, just the shape of the remaining work — logged in the question's own progress line rather than a flag, since it's already exactly where a future session will look.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step and any git command — same reasons as the morning entry.

Tally: 3 distinct claims → 3 promoted, 0 skipped on merit, 0 collisions with existing notes → 0 new questions (1 progress-log append on the existing open question, left open, not closed) → 4 new entity hubs (Furry, Shimony, Clauser, Bell's theorem) + 4 existing entity pages updated with dated append lines, 4 entity candidates correctly left as named mentions rather than hubbed.

Third promotion, same day: the Oaksford-Chater 1994 / resource-rational §5.4 dup-risk stub

Promoted a third capture today, headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-dup-risk-oaksford-chater-1994-worked-example-bridge.md. This one promoted zero claim-notes, and that was the right call, not a cop-out.

The capture investigated whether claim-lieder-griffiths-2020-cite-oaksford-chater-1994-as-worked-example and claim-resource-rational-analysis-rationality-revisited-swaps-normative-yardstick-same-move-as-oaksford-chater are a real bridge or a coincidental same-source pairing, and found — correctly, I confirmed it myself against the primary and against the existing cluster rather than taking the capture's word for it — that it's real: §2 of Lieder & Griffiths names the 1994 paper as a worked example, §3 states resource-rational analysis extends rational analysis, and §5.4 cashes that extension out as the identical swap-the-yardstick move. But the vault already holds this connective tissue from three directions — observation-oaksford-chater-wason-resource-rational-pairing-is-confirmed-bridge-via-citation, claim-resource-rational-analysis-extends-andersons-rational-analysis, and observation-oaksford-chater-uncertainty-redefinition-resource-rational-pairing-is-genealogical-bridge, all three already seated on moc-the-yardstick-was-wrong-not-the-reasoner. The capture's own vault_novelty gate agreed (max_cosine 0.877, 99th percentile), and this is the fourth session in four days (2026-09-20, 2026-10-22, 2026-10-23, today) to independently rediscover some piece of the same bridge in this one cluster. A fourth claim-note restating it would be duplication with a new filename. Logged the winnowing decision in the capture's own not_promoted: rather than silently dropping it.

What the capture actually wanted done — and couldn't do itself, being sandboxed to 10-inbox/raw/ — was add three missing wikilinks between existing 30-notes/ claim-notes. I checked, and this exact ask (two of the three links) is already sitting as an unresolved [entity] flag from the 2026-10-22 promotion of this same cluster's sibling capture, which ruled that cross-note wikilink edits are outside promotion's write surface — new notes in 30-notes/ are the job, not editing notes that already exist and aren't wrong, just unlinked. I followed that precedent rather than relitigating it myself mid-run: consistency across promotion sessions on an identical procedural question matters more than my own preference for just fixing it, especially since the existing ruling was reasoned, not accidental. So instead of editing, I appended a dated line to the existing seek-flags.md entry (L7772) naming the third link this capture found, so a single future Warden pass has the complete three-link picture instead of discovering it in pieces across four sessions. This is the thing most worth flagging to Cali: the fix has now been independently re-derived and re-flagged four times without anyone with the right write-surface actually doing it. The research arm of this cluster is saturated; what's missing is four minutes of Warden time.

Checked the two entity pages this capture's cluster touches (entity-mike-oaksford, entity-nick-chater) rather than trusting the capture's "no entity work owed" line at face value — both are already current on exactly the facts this capture investigated (the 1994 worked-example citation, the yardstick-swap claim), so no update was owed and I'm saying so rather than going quiet about it. No question routed either: nothing here is a kept claim resting on an unresolved doubt, since nothing was kept, and the capture doesn't answer any open question in 50-questions/.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step and any git command — same reasons as the other two entries today.

Tally: 1 claim investigated (the bridge) → 0 promoted, 1 skipped (duplication of an already-saturated cluster, reasoning logged in not_promoted:) → 0 new questions → 0 new entity work (2 existing entity pages checked and confirmed current, no update needed) → 1 seek-flags.md line appended, extending a still-open [entity] flag rather than opening a duplicate one.

Fourth promotion, same day: has anyone independently corroborated NeuNeu?

Promoted a fourth capture today, headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-has-any-independent-different-author-different-venue-source.md. This is the follow-up session on question-corroborate-hu-2026-neural-neural-scaling-laws, the single-source-concentration-cap question raised against "Neural Neural Scaling Laws" (Hu, Pan, Jhaveri, Lourie & Cho, arXiv:2601.19831), which already anchors three claim/observation-notes in this vault.

Two distinct, atomic claims, both cleared the floor and both promoted:

Neither note pushes the single-source cap further, since both are about the corroboration status of the preprint rather than new findings extracted from its content — the same distinction the vault already relies on for the RIKER and Bit2Watt "no independent corroboration" notes. I ruled on the open question rather than closing it: logged a dated progress line reporting the negative search and the new venue facts, left status: open, since the NeurIPS poster session itself is still two months out and nothing here is a different lab running the experiment.

Entities: ran the promotion test on all five candidates. Kaplan et al. 2020 already has a hub (entity-jared-kaplan.md) and this capture adds nothing to it beyond the relationship already stated there, so I left it alone rather than appending a non-update for the sake of appending something. OLMES/DataDecide is UNSURE — sourced only to a secondary AI-summary, not confirmed by a direct read of the paper's Methods section — so no stub. Michael Y. Hu, Jane Pan, Ayush Rajesh Jhaveri, and Kyunghyun Cho are all co-authors of the same joint paper with no separate standing of their own in this vault; per the 2026-10-01 ruling, co-authorship alone is a mention, not a hub, and Nicholas Lourie already holds this cluster's one hub (he has independent standing from his own 2025 lead-authored paper). I did find one genuine update owed to Lourie's existing page, though — the NeurIPS/ICML venue facts are new information about the paper he's a co-author of, so I appended a dated line to entity-nicholas-lourie.md rather than treating "already has a page" as license to skip it.

What felt a little off about the capture, worth naming plainly: it did its own winnowing almost too well — the "Further leads" section already correctly declined to promote the AI-summarization-site mirrors and the unverified v1-vs-v2 figure discrepancy, which meant there was very little left for me to winnow out. That's not a complaint; a batch worker doing its own floor-check properly is the system working as designed. The only judgment call that was actually mine to make was the entity test and the decision to split the corroboration-search finding from the venue-acceptance finding into two notes instead of one.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step and any git command — same reasons as the other entries today.

Tally: 2 distinct claims in the capture → 2 promoted, 0 skipped on merit (5 non-claim leads/entity-candidates correctly left unpromoted, reasoning logged in not_promoted:) → 0 new questions (1 progress-log append on the existing open question, left open) → 0 new entity hubs or stubs, 1 existing entity page updated (entity-nicholas-lourie.md), 4 entity candidates correctly left as named mentions, 1 entity candidate checked and confirmed already current.

Promotion: Making Generative AI Workable at Work (arXiv:2610.31344)

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-outside-arxiv261031344-making-generative-ai-workable-at-work.md — a fresh "outside" arXiv capture, a qualitative CSCW interview study of generative-AI use in 21 Kenyan and Nigerian small businesses, by four Microsoft Research Africa authors. Clean capture: Tier 1 throughout (the authors' own paper, read directly, exact quotes), no safety flags, no [unverified-*] flags anywhere. Retrieve-before-write against the hinted neighbors and a direct search turned up zero collisions — this is genuinely new territory for the vault.

Four distinct claims in the capture, winnowed to three promoted:

Also not promoted: the paper's own "workable participation" reframing (an argument/interpretive move, not a discrete claim — the capture's own commentary already called this correctly), and the design-implications section (left as a lead for a future capture).

New question: question-corroborate-abdulhamid-2026-generative-ai-workable-at-work-single-source — names what would discharge the cap (a different author group, different venue, confirming any of the three claims) and flags that the capture's own "further leads" (Dell'Acqua's jagged frontier, Brynjolfsson/Li/Raymond) are adjacent but not yet checked for actual overlap.

Entity candidates, run through the promotion test: the capture flagged nine candidates. None of the paper's four co-authors got a hub — per the 2026-10-01 ruling, co-authorship of one paper is a mention, not a hub, and none of them has separate standing elsewhere in the vault. Microsoft Research Africa stayed a mention (single-cluster employer, doesn't act in the argument). "Articulation work" stayed unpromoted too — it's genuinely load-bearing within this paper's own argument, but it's a 1992 concept making its first appearance in this vault, not yet recurring here, so I left it an unresolved wikilink rather than minting a page for it. The two terms the paper itself coined — "release work" and "context misfit" — got immediate watching stubs with first_seen: 2026-10-24, since that's exactly what the emerging-term rule is for and the date can't be recovered later if I wait.

The harder call was Suchman, Star, and Orlikowski — three genuinely famous, independently notable CSCW/STS scholars this paper leans on for its whole analytic frame. I almost hubbed all three; they're real and I could say in one sentence why each matters. What stopped me: none of them is actually quoted or discussed inside any of the three notes I wrote today — they only appear in the capture's "Further leads," explicitly not independently fetched this session. A hub with zero vault references felt like exactly the dead-stub risk the entity spec warns against, dressed up as due diligence. Logged it to seek-flags.md instead as a [entity] noticing: if this vault's workplace-AI/CSCW thread keeps growing and a second paper quotes one of them directly, that's the trigger to promote, not this secondhand citation.

What felt a little off, worth naming: nothing about the sourcing — this was about as clean a capture as this format gets, Tier 1 throughout with real block quotes. The only friction was mine: the single-source cap bit on the very first capture from this source, which meant a genuinely good fourth claim (methodologically sound, clearly quoted) couldn't become a note today. That's the system working as designed, not a flaw in the capture, but it's worth saying plainly since it's the first time I've hit that cap during a promotion rather than inheriting it from an earlier session.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step, and any git command — headless operation, per this session's run instructions.

Tally: 4 distinct claims found → 3 promoted, 1 routed to a corroboration question (single-source cap, not a merit skip) → 1 new question created, 0 existing questions to close (no open question originated this capture) → 0 collisions with existing notes → 2 new entity stubs (watching), 0 new hubs, 7 entity candidates correctly left as mentions/unpromoted (reasoning in not_promoted: and seek-flags.md).

Fifth promotion, same day: the Kodosky/Dennis × Aikins/Jevons bridge-seed check

Promoted a fifth capture, headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-what-genuinely-connects-kodoskydennis-note-is-untagged-and.md. This was a cosine-0.88 bridge-seed check between two existing vault notes — one a pure MOC-indexing hygiene audit (observation-kodosky-dennis-untagged-unindexed-argument-from-silence-instance), the other a pure content-grading claim about an 1902 textbook's silence (claim-aikins-silence-on-jevons-logic-piano-is-weak-on-mcgrew-record-term-not-notice).

The capture had four ## Claim: blocks; I wrote three notes, not four — the "atomic is not many" ruling earned its keep here:

Retrieve-before-write against the hint list and the sibling-gap-note cluster turned up zero true collisions — the closest candidates (Puckette-Petiška, Gates-Jevons/Pitman-Ossietzky bracketing) are the same genre of false-friend write-up but about different object-level pairs, so I cited them as precedent in the commentary rather than treating them as duplicates.

What felt off, worth naming plainly: the capture's own "Entity candidates" section claimed "Jeffrey Kodosky — no entity page found in 40-entities/ (checked this session)." That's wrong — entity-jeff-kodosky.md has existed since 2026-07-09, a full hub page. The miss is explicable (the file's slugged jeff-kodosky, the common name, not kodosky or jeffrey-kodosky), but it means whichever check the capture ran isn't alias-aware, and it's exactly the kind of near-miss that would mint a duplicate stub page if a future promotion didn't re-check by hand. I didn't duplicate it — I appended a dated line to the existing hub instead, naming both new notes — and logged the gap itself as a [defect] in seek-flags.md so the underlying check gets fixed rather than just caught this once. I also logged a [spec] flag on the five-times-recurring MOC-sweep-scope pattern: every warden pass so far has (correctly) scoped itself to the one note that triggered it rather than a full re-sweep against the hub's tag, which is why the gap keeps reopening one note at a time. No other entity pages needed updates — McGrew, Jack Dennis, Jevons, Aikins, and Isaacs all already have hubs, and this capture taught nothing new about any of them specifically, only about the vault's own indexing and framing, exactly as the capture's own reasoning for Aikins already said.

No question raised or closed: nothing in this capture rests on an unresolved [unverified-*] claim of its own (the inherited Kodosky [unverified-mechanism] flag is already routed to its own standing question, which I linked to rather than re-opening), and the capture didn't originate from an open question in 50-questions/.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step and any git command — headless operation, same as every other promotion today.

Tally: 4 claim-blocks in the capture → 3 claim-notes written (one merging two of the capture's blocks), 0 skipped on merit, 1 merge logged in not_promoted: → 0 new questions (none needed; no capture-originating open question to rule on) → 0 collisions with existing notes → 0 new entity pages, 1 existing entity page updated (entity-jeff-kodosky.md) with a dated append line, 5 entity candidates correctly left untouched (already current) → 2 seek-flags.md lines appended ([defect] on the entity-check miss, [spec] on the recurring MOC-sweep-scope gap).

Promoted a sixth capture, headless: 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-14-can-roland-shimans-cooper-privately-doubted-the-japan.md. This one targeted an open verification question — whether Roland & Shiman's "Cooper privately doubted the Japan threat, used it as a lever" characterization, which rests entirely on their own inaccessible May 1994 interview, can be corroborated by a second source. The batch worker recovered the 403'd 2007 FOIA-released DARPA director oral history (WHS 15-F-0751) via a Wayback capture and read it in full.

The capture had two ## Claim: blocks; I wrote one note. The second block ("the 2007 interview gives no corroboration for the lever half") isn't an independently falsifiable claim about the world — it's the boundary of the first finding, read off the same transcript and (largely) the same MITI passage. Per the "atomic is not many" ruling, the result and its own caveat go in one note, so I folded the lever-silence into the corroboration note's body and watch_flag, preserving the [unverified -- rests on Roland & Shiman's single 1994 interview] flag on the lever half. Cali's pre-promotion review called the doubt/lever split "right and well put"; that split is fully intact inside the single note, it just didn't need two files to carry it. The note:

Retrieve-before-write against the hint list turned up zero true collisions — the four existing Cooper notes all cover different sources (R&S's book, CBI OH 255 x3) and nothing touched the 2007 interview. I linked densely into the existing cluster (the R&S claim, the two OH 255 notes, the Kahn proposal, the DARPA/Fifth-Generation hubs, the funding-branch MOC) and honored Cali's three "not linked" flags (entity-darpa, the Kahn-proposal claim, the FGCP-inspiration claim).

The question itself I ruled partially answered → left open, with a dated progress line: the doubt half now corroborated, the lever half still single-sourced. No new question minted — the lever-half verification is exactly what this standing question already holds, and the discipline says make few promises.

Entity work: entity-robert-cooper and entity-alex-roland both got dated additive lines. The Roland page mattered most — its body still asserts "no source independent of Roland & Shiman has yet corroborated any of these details," which is now partly false, and silence on a known entity is the failure mode. I didn't rewrite the body; I appended the correction. Philip Shiman is co-author only → mention. The 15-F-0751 oral-history project and Sharon Weinberger I declined to promote (one venue the vault points to once; one author the vault hasn't actually read yet) — both routed to seek-flags.md as a [watch] lead so a future session that reads the primaries can promote them, biasing against the stub-flood. DeLauer's page I left alone: the DSB Task Force lead bearing on it is unread, and an unread lead isn't a learned fact.

What felt off, worth naming:

Both of these are the same underlying thing: this capture's analysis was genuinely sharp — the doubt/lever asymmetry is a real and useful finding — but its absence claims ran ahead of the text twice, and both times it took Cali's line-level read against the archive to catch it. The sourcing was otherwise clean (Tier 1, sha-stamped, quotes confirmed against the archive by Cali's own re-fetch), so this isn't tier inflation; it's a bee that's better at seeing a shape than at proving a negative.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step and any git command — headless, leaving git to the auto-commit agent.

Tally: 2 claim-blocks → 1 claim-note (one block folded in as its caveat), 0 skipped on merit → question partially answered, left open, 0 new questions → 0 collisions → 0 new entity pages, 2 existing hubs updated with dated append lines (Cooper, Roland), 2 candidates declined and routed to [watch], DeLauer left untouched → 1 seek-flags.md [watch] line appended (three unread leads).

Promotion — the Linnainmaa / Nguyen & Eger joint-test capture (headless)

Second promotion of the day. I took 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-16-does-linnainmaas-own-citation-trajectory-run-through-nguyen.md — a batch worker's answer to the open question question-linnainmaa-citation-growth-vs-nguyen-eger-joint-test, which asked whether Linnainmaa's own citation curve, read directly, confirms the field-growth mechanism or whether the backprop-priority resurgence is doing the real work.

What I created (3 claim-notes, all seedling):

The synthesis I did NOT spin into a fourth note: field growth explains the citations, the priority dispute explains the name recognition — two mechanisms doing different jobs on the same curve, not fighting over one number. It's derived from claims 1 and 3, so per "atomic is not many" it lives as the ruling on the question and the commentary on the Schmidhuber-channel claim rather than its own file.

Question ruling: partially answered, left open. The direction is settled on all three fronts, but the question's points 1–2 asked for a scripted, reviewed classification and an actual Age-of-Citation computation in Nguyen & Eger's own terms — the capture did neither, only a manual scan. Forcing closure would launder a one-read-through guess into a resolution. Appended a dated progress line instead.

Entities: no new pages. The capture claimed Schmidhuber had no entity note — wrong, entity-juergen-schmidhuber is an existing hub, and I appended one dated line (the survey as a positive channel, where the page's prior lines treat it as a negative witness). Declined the Semantic Scholar API (data source, single cluster), AoC (existence unverified, never seen in use — UNSURE beats emerging-term here), and Nguyen/Eger as person hubs (co-authorship of one cited paper is a mention, not a hub).

Flags: two [watch] lines to seek-flags.md — (1) the Nguyen & Eger preprint is now at the three-note single-source concentration cap, so the next finding on it owes a corroboration question; (2) the AoC/Wahle-2024 disambiguation lead, parked rather than minted.

What felt off about the capture: three things, none fatal. (1) The "no entity note for Schmidhuber exists" assertion is simply false — the cost of a batch worker with no retrieve-before-write, which is exactly the gap promotion exists to close. (2) Tier hygiene is honest — the [unverified-quant] flag is correctly placed and the methodology edge is stated plainly in the capture body; no tier inflation, the opposite if anything. (3) The three Tier-1 quotes all carry their shas and read as genuine direct fetches. Good capture, one stale retrieval miss. The research is not duplicated — it genuinely advances the existing bridge note from a cross-dataset ratio to a read of the citers themselves.

Promotion — "outside biology, does punctuated equilibrium have a genuine citation lineage in policy-change theory?" (headless)

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-17-outside-biology-does-punctuated-equilibrium-have-a-genuine.md. This is the contrast case the cricket-laws finding has been waiting for since August. Back then a full read of Chia et al. showed the cricket paper's "punctuated" was just the English word — the punctuated-equilibrium connection was the vault's own overlay, not the authors' citation (claim-cricket-laws-phase-transition-independent-of-punctuated-equilibrium). The question this capture asked: is political science's "punctuated-equilibrium theory of policy change" (Baumgartner & Jones) the same kind of borrowed-vocabulary mirage, or a real citation lineage? Answer: real. Two independent secondaries — Robinson's 2005 Taylor & Francis encyclopedia entry (Tier 3) and Shockley's 2017 IPPA conference paper (Tier 2), different authors, different venues, twelve years apart — both name Eldredge & Gould (1972) as the acknowledged source Baumgartner & Jones drew on, Shockley writing flatly that they "did not themselves invent its conceptual framework."

Winnow (3 claim-blocks → 1 note). I wrote one note, not three. Claim 1 (the genuine lineage) is the finding. Claim 2 (the specific paper is E&G 1972) is which-paper detail — the paper's identity is already vault knowledge via claim-punctuated-equilibrium-derives-from-mayr-peripatric-speciation, and it isn't independently true/false from "there's a lineage to E&G 1972" — so I folded it. Claim 3 (no primary-text read of Baumgartner & Jones was obtained; the lineage rests on secondary confirmation) is the sourcing caveat of Claim 1, not a separate finding about the world — per "atomic is not many" it lives in the note's body and [unverified] flag, with the verification itself routed to a question. A standalone "we couldn't find the primary" note would also have tripped promote.md's 5a rule (vault-search/absence claims go on the question, not in 30-notes/). The one note:

Retrieve-before-write. Zero true collisions. The vault's whole punctuated-equilibrium cluster is biology + organizational theory + SGD; policy science is a genuinely new migration domain, so this note is close kin to the hint-list neighbours (I linked the biological-origin notes and the cricket contrast densely) but duplicates none of them. It's the fourth field on the hub's migration map and the second genuine cross-domain citation case after the biology→organizational-theory hop — the cricket one having turned out to be the vault's own eye, not the authors' bibliography.

Question routed. question-verify-baumgartner-jones-primary-text-cites-eldredge-gould (open) — this is a real load-bearing doubt, not a nice-to-verify hedge: the entire note is a citation-lineage claim and the primary-text receipt (Baumgartner & Jones citing E&G in their own hand) is the one rung nobody in the chain actually climbed. The question names the three documents to read in priority order — the 1993 Agendas and Instability Ch. 1, the 1991 Journal of Politics article, and the 2016 Eissler/Russell/Jones retrospective (co-authored by Jones himself, squarely about PET's origin) — and records the capture's negative results (the 2002 Policy Dynamics intro cites neither name; the 2022 PET bibliography doesn't list E&G, but it's scoped to policy applications, so that's a scope mismatch, not counter-evidence) so a future session doesn't re-run them.

No question closed. The capture didn't originate from an open 50-questions/ item (it was prompted by the cricket finding, not a formal question), and nothing in the pile matches policy-science citation lineage — checked. So nothing to rule on.

Entities. The capture flagged eight candidates. I updated the one page that's owed an update: appended a dated Log line to entity-punctuated-equilibrium recording policy science as the fourth migration domain and the first genuine named lineage since the biology→org hop. The harder calls I declined, on purpose, and logged as an [entity] flag rather than minting: Eldredge and Gould have no person-hubs despite being the two most load-bearing figures across the whole 10+-note PE cluster — but that's a vault-wide gap, not this policy-science capture's subject, and the 2026-10-01 co-authorship ruling means the Warden should decide whether to hub both or only Gould (the one with wider independent standing). Baumgartner and Jones made their first vault appearance today; co-originators of a named theory, genuinely notable, but one note in — so named mentions on first appearance, hub if the thread recurs, biasing against the flood exactly as the entity spec asks. Robinson, Shockley, Mortensen are source-authors, not domain subjects in their own right → mentions.

What felt off about the capture: honestly, very little, and what there is cuts the right way — the batch worker was scrupulous about its own sourcing. It escalated the historical claim past the Tier 3–4 floor because it was load-bearing, corroborated across two independent venues, and — most to its credit — it did not paper over the primary-text gap. It flagged Claim 3 as a [unverified] honest negative instead of quietly letting two secondaries read as a verified lineage. That's the opposite of tier inflation. It even caught and preserved the "Eldredge and Stephen" misspelling in Robinson's proof (Gould demoted to his own first name by an uncorrected typesetter) rather than silently fixing it, which is the kind of small fidelity that tells you the quote is a real fetch. The only structural note is the one I flagged: this is at least the fourth session this month to touch the PE cluster, and the cluster's foundational people still have no hubs — research keeps accreting faster than the graph gets tended, same shape as the Oaksford–Chater link debt earlier today.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step (headless, no one to ask) and any git command (the auto-commit agent owns the push).

Final-mark verification: re-read the capture frontmatter from disk after writing — status: promoted with the one-item promoted_to: and the three-item not_promoted: list are present and correct.

Tally: 3 claim-blocks → 1 claim-note (Claims 2 and 3 folded in as detail + caveat, both logged in not_promoted:), 0 skipped on merit → 1 new question (load-bearing primary-text verification), 0 existing questions to rule on → 0 collisions (new migration domain) → 0 new entity pages, 1 hub updated (entity-punctuated-equilibrium), 5 candidates left as mentions → 1 seek-flags.md [entity] line (Eldredge/Gould hubs owed; Baumgartner/Jones hub-if-recurs).

Promotion — "the ChronoCulture branch now rests three claim-notes on a single unrefereed preprint — what independently corroborates it?" (headless)

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-18-the-chronoculture-branch-now-rests-three-claim-notes.md. This is the discharge session for the single-source cap I hit a week ago: three ChronoCulture notes (arXiv:2610.20472) sitting on one unrefereed preprint, question-corroborate-chronoculture-single-source-cap raised to ask what independently corroborates them. The capture fetched the named candidate — Daryani, Bogen & Daepp (2026), "Accurate in space, unreliable in time" (arXiv:2609.01902) — directly, read Sections 1–5, and quote-checked everything against two extracted PDFs. No safety flags, no [unverified-*] flags.

Winnow (4 capture claims → 3 notes). The capture presented four claims; I wrote three.

The cap discharge (the actual point). Corroboration discharges the cap, and sources.md says record it in the notes. So beyond writing the new notes I updated the existing branch: independent_roots: 1 → 2 on the static-culture headline and the direction/magnitude note, each with an append-only Corroboration history block (the myth-ledger discipline, generalized from Correction to Corroboration) dating the discharge and linking the Daryani notes. The year-naming note I annotated the other way — a Corroboration-history line saying plainly that Daryani does not reach it, so it stays at independent_roots: 1. The cap on the ChronoCulture source is discharged by one independent corroboration; the one individually-uncorroborated claim doesn't re-impose it, but I refused to let the note silently read as corroborated.

Retrieve-before-write. No Daryani note existed — no direct collision. The hint's observation-* neighbours (osti/semantic-scholar, whyte-wang-cai, petiska-greenhalgh, docsub-mcpeters) are false-friend/diplomatics bridge-checks from entirely different research areas; they rank near this capture only on shared vocabulary ("corroboration", "pairing", "verification"), not subject. I linked the three existing ChronoCulture notes and the two entity hubs densely instead.

Questions. Ruled the parent question-corroborate-chronoculture-single-source-cap → answered, with an answered_log recording both the discharge and the honest residual. Routed exactly one new question, question-corroborate-chronoculture-older-year-naming-asymmetry (open) — a genuine load-bearing doubt, not a nice-to-verify hedge: the year-naming claim is the branch's most mechanism-flavored (it hints at a present-skewed averaging default) and its most specific, and it's the one still standing on a single preprint. The question names the exact experiment that would settle it (older-year label, stratified by shift size) so the nightly queue has something concrete. I did not route questions for the capture's other "further leads" (Liu et al., Welzel's book, Gong/Sanders/Schneier, the snapshot benchmarks) — none is a doubt a kept claim rests on; they're further corroboration, and the pile is a promise of future work, so few promises.

Entities. Created one hub: entity-christian-welzel. He clears the bar beyond co-authorship — the Inglehart–Welzel map is Daryani's instrument and his separate Freedom Rising (2013) indices do real verification work inside the corroborating paper (the reversal-classification check), so his framework appears twice there. He's Inglehart's co-equal under this branch, and entity-ronald-inglehart already had a hub from the 2026-10-15 capture; symmetry was owed. Updated two existing hubs with dated Log lines (fix-on-contact): Inglehart (a second independent paper now rests on his premise) and World Values Survey (Daryani's non-identical waves 4–7 as evidence of independent data handling). Declined the rest, on purpose: Daryani, Bogen, Daepp are co-authors of one cited paper with no separate standing → named mentions (Cali 2026-10-01). Center for Democracy and Technology merely employs two of them; the org test wants an org that acts across more than one cluster → mention. The Inglehart–Welzel cultural map was the tempting one — the capture flagged it as a candidate concept-note — but it's load-bearing in exactly one cluster, its meaning is carried by the two person-hubs, and as an established concept it has no first_seen urgency, so I deferred it with an [entity] flag (promote if a third, non-ChronoCulture cluster lands on it) rather than minting a single-cluster concept hub. Bias against the flood.

Flags. Two lines to seek-flags.md: [entity] (the Inglehart–Welzel map concept-hub, deferred) and [watch] (Liu et al. as a potential third independent data point, citation unresolved).

What felt off about the capture: almost nothing — it was scrupulous, and in the direction that matters. It did the hard, honest thing twice: it fetched the corroborating paper directly instead of trusting the earlier session's "found but not verified" note, and it refused to let two wins read as three, carving out the year-naming gap as its own claim with its own quotes. The one real smell is structural, not the batch worker's fault: the whole discharge rests on a second unrefereed preprint. The cap is written as "a different author group and a different venue," and Daryani clears that exactly — but the branch is now two un-refereed papers agreeing, which is more than one and still not the field. I carried that caveat into every note rather than burying it. Minor quote-hygiene note: the capture's one quote for the low-change-countries spurious-movement numbers (0.097 / 0.113–0.170) was ellipsis-joined, so under the quote-shape rule it wasn't verbatim-admissible; I described that finding qualitatively from the one contiguous sentence I could quote and left the exact figures out. Logged in not_promoted:.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step (headless) and any git command (the auto-commit agent owns the push). No network tools touched — the quote re-checks belong to the verifier bee, not me.

Final-mark verification: re-read the capture frontmatter from disk after writing — status: promoted is present, with the three-item promoted_to: list and the two-item not_promoted: list (the merge rationale and the held-back leads). Confirmed landed.

Tally: 4 capture claims → 3 new notes (1 observation, 2 claims; capture claims 2+3 merged) → 0 skipped on merit; 2 existing notes raised to independent_roots: 2 + 1 annotated as still single-sourced; 1 existing question answered, 1 new question routed; 0 collisions; 1 new entity hub (entity-christian-welzel), 2 hubs updated, 3 candidates left as mentions, 1 concept-hub deferred; 2 seek-flags.md lines.

Promotion — 2026-10-21 Geobacter head-to-head capture

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-21-has-anyone-published-a-direct-head-to-head.md — the question of whether anyone has published a direct adjudication among the proposed Geobacter conduction mechanisms, or whether the field still treats them as separate unresolved claims. This one slotted cleanly into a cluster I already know well: the Lovley/Malvankar/Guberman-Pfeffer pili-vs-cytochrome fight, which eight existing notes cover.

Three capture claims → two new notes → one skipped.

Retrieve-before-write. No collisions — both new notes are genuinely new angles on a known cluster, densely linked into it. I checked all eight existing cluster notes plus the two entity hubs.

Entity work. The capture's ## Entity candidates section is where it felt off. It claims Derek Lovley "has no entity page yet," but entity-derek-lovley.md has existed since 2026-07-11 — so I updated that page instead (additive dated line + two new References), recording that he's still defending e-pili in print as of October 2025. For the new names: I left Hochbaum, Tabari, and the Ye/Nealson group as mentions rather than minting hubs — the 2026-10-01 co-authorship ruling says co-authorship alone is a mention, and even Hochbaum (who recurs across two notes) is thin standing on one review plus one twelve-author paper. Flagged Hochbaum + Nealson + an OmcS/OmcZ concept-hub as [entity] candidates owed, to be minted only if the thread recurs. Also logged a [watch] on the capture-quality signal: the batch bee flagged an already-hubbed person as needing a hub, i.e. it isn't checking 40-entities/ before writing candidates.

Question closure. The capture did not originate from an open question — nothing in 50-questions/ matches this topic (checked by filename and content grep), so nothing to rule on.

What felt off. Nothing in the sourcing — the capture was careful, with shas on the main claims and honest self-flagging of the absence-based claim. Two minor things: (1) the stale "Lovley has no entity page" candidate (above), and (2) the capture's own framing note correctly caught that the topic-as-queued mis-grouped the cable-bacteria nickel mechanism as a Geobacter candidate — good catch by the bee, and it's why claim 3 collapses into premise-correction rather than a finding. The capture did its job; I trust it.

Final-mark verification: re-read the capture frontmatter from disk after writing — status: promoted is present, with the two-item promoted_to: list and the two-item not_promoted: list (the skipped absence-claim rationale and the absorbed framing note). Confirmed landed.

Tally: 3 capture claims → 2 new claim-notes → 1 skipped; 0 new questions routed, 0 existing questions answered; 0 collisions; 1 entity hub updated (Lovley), 0 new hubs minted, 3 candidates left as mentions + flagged; 2 seek-flags.md lines.

Promotion — Halpern & Pass, "Algorithmic Rationality: Game Theory with Costly Computation" (headless)

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-22-hop-halpern-pass-costly-computation-game-theory.md. A hop-batch capture that started from the resource-rational-analysis cluster, followed Lieder & Griffiths's own list of near-synonyms for their paradigm ("algorithmic rationality (Halpern & Pass 2015)"), and landed on a Cornell game-theory paper — arXiv:1412.2993, the authors' own preprint of the Journal of Economic Theory 2015 article.

Winnowing — 2 claims found, both promoted, 0 skipped. The capture carries two genuinely independent findings, each grounded in its own verbatim quote:

These split cleanly: the Nash mechanism could be right while the disjoint-lineage framing is wrong (or vice versa). I kept them as two notes rather than folding, exactly because they fail/stand independently. Nothing substantive was left behind — the two source quotes each became one note. The "further leads" (Rubinstein 1986, Neyman 1985, Icard 2014) are research leads for future chains, not claims.

Retrieve-before-write. No collision — nothing in 30-notes/ was about costly computation in game theory (grep for Halpern/Pass/Rubinstein/Neyman hit only captures and meta files). The semantic-index hint's hex/game-theory notes (Nash hex, Shannon's machine) and the cost-as-signal notes (Szabo bit-gold, costly-signaling) are thematically adjacent but about different things; I did not force-link them. The strong, honest links are into the RRA cluster, Simon, and moc-the-yardstick-was-wrong-not-the-reasoner, which I read in full — these notes sit directly beside its four members.

Flags & questions. No [unverified-*] flag was stamped on the capture, but the convergence note rests on a negative — that the paper cites none of the cognitive-science figures — which a verbatim quote sweep can confirm nothing about. I carried that as a watch_flag on the note and routed one open question (question-verify-halpern-pass-lineage-disjoint-from-cognitive-science-rationality-programs) naming the specific check: read the reference list, grep the body, prefer the JET version of record. Both notes stay seedling/capture-verified; the quotes are queued for the verifier bee's mechanical sweep (no network in promotion, by design — I did not retry any fetch). The capture did not originate from an open question, so no closure was owed.

Entities — 0 new hubs, 2 pages updated. The capture flagged Halpern, Pass, and Rubinstein. I minted no hubs: Halpern and Pass are co-authors of the single joint paper the vault cites and neither has separate vault standing (co-authorship ruling 2026-10-01); Rubinstein is a precursor named but not read at primary, so a hub would be a thin stub ("when unsure, don't promote"). All three are named as mentions in the notes and carried as a [watch] in seek-flags.md — Halpern to hub if a second thread of his work arrives, Rubinstein as the strongest future-chain lead and possible fifth family member. Two existing hubs did owe an update and got one: entity-herbert-simon (Simon claimed as a root by a third, game-theory lineage) and entity-resource-rational-analysis (a disjoint lineage reaching its move independently and earlier).

What felt off. Sourcing is clean and genuinely Tier 1 (authors' own preprint, sha receipt, two whole-sentence quotes), tier not inflated. One honest caveat I baked into the notes: the venue of record is JET 2015 on sciencedirect — a known-blocked platform — so the published version has not been independently checked against the preprint; the single-source concentration cap (2 of 3 notes on this one preprint) is not yet reached, and the routed question folds the version-of-record check into one future consultation. The capture's ## Entity candidates section was honest here — unlike the 2026-10-21 capture flagged above, it correctly reported Halpern/Pass/Rubinstein as unknown to the vault (they were). No duplicated research.

Tally: 2 capture claims → 2 new claim-notes → 0 skipped; 1 new question routed, 0 existing questions answered; 0 collisions; 2 entity hubs updated (Simon, resource-rational-analysis), 0 new hubs minted, 3 candidates left as mentions + flagged; 1 seek-flags.md line.

Promotion — 2026-10-23 "what genuinely connects Lieder & Griffiths cite Chater" (bridge-seed check)

I promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-23-what-genuinely-connects-lieder-griffiths-2020-cite-chater.md, a bridge-seed check on the pairing claim-lieder-griffiths-2020-name-chater-oaksford-1999-as-rational-analysis-source × claim-resource-rational-analysis-rationality-revisited-swaps-normative-yardstick-same-move-as-oaksford-chater (seed cosine 0.88, unlinked).

What I kept (2 notes from 3 capture "claims"):

What I folded / skipped and why:

Questions: none routed, none closed. The only verification gap is the footnote-seam grounding, which the bee covers by design; no open 50-questions note matches this topic.

Entities: entity-nick-chater and entity-mike-oaksford each got a dated line — their pages knew the 1999 paper was cited for the name but not that it itself performs the move, which is the new fact. entity-john-anderson left alone (no Anderson-specific new fact; the Marr note already carries the acknowledgements). Lieder/Griffiths/Wason: confirmation only.

Flags: one [entity] (the MOC's Oaksford-Chater member could be re-dated to the 1999 primary by the Warden) and one [watch] (this cluster now carries three bridge observations + a MOC + ~8 notes and is nearing saturation — worth watching whether future seeds here keep finding new footing).

What felt off: nothing bad — this was a well-made, honestly-hedged capture. It flagged its own duplicate-risk, named its sibling capture to prove it wasn't a re-tread, and was scrupulous about the footnote-seam quote. If anything, the capture leaned slightly into bridge-ceremony prose (three framings of "the bridge is real") where the actual finding is one clean sentence: the paper cited for the name also contains the move. The duplicated territory is real but the capture caught it itself, which is the system working, not failing. — Seek

Promotion — "does any information-fusion, intelligence-analysis, or RAG paper actually cite NATO source-grading doctrine?" (headless)

Promoted 10-inbox/raw/2026-10-24-does-any-information-fusion-intelligence-analysis-or-rag.md. This is the ancestor-check the whole two-axes cluster has been deferring since July — the convergence observation note's own body admits "the common-ancestor check that resolved the append-only case has not been run here," and the moc-two-axes-that-wont-stay-independent open threads flag that same note as stale and explicitly "left for Seek." So this one landed squarely in territory I know, which made the winnowing more about discipline than discovery.

Three capture claims → two notes.

Why the resolved half didn't launder the unresolved half. The thing I was most tempted by, and the capture's own commentary was tempted by the same way, was to treat "the ancestor-check came up empty for RAG" as symmetrical with "it came up full for information fusion." It isn't: one is a reference list I read, the other is a search that didn't find. A found citation is a fact; an unfound one is a boundary on my looking. The draft's held bracket warned about exactly this, one field over, and here it was again wearing new clothes. Both notes stay phrased as "appears to stop" / "narrows, does not close" on purpose.

One existing note updated in place. I appended a dated update to the old convergence observation note — its body still claims the common-ancestor check "has not been run," which is now outdated — pointing at the new finding. Additive, not a rewrite; the note's deeper staleness (its "two fields" title predating the four-field cluster) I left to the MOC's open thread, since revising the MOC is Warden surface and I didn't want to half-do someone else's job.

Question routing. One new question, question-verify-information-fusion-cluster-cites-stanag-directly — a genuine load-bearing doubt, not a hedge: the "decade-long multi-author lineage" framing rests on ONERA reading six papers for me, and the note can't shed its secondhand-characterization caveat until someone reads Cholvy & Nimier 2003, Besombes & Révault d'Allonnes 2008, and Ulicny 2010/2011 directly. I named those three in priority order and parked the capture's access failures (DTIC 403, a DNS miss, HAL's Anubis wall) on the question rather than in a claim-note, per §5a. I deliberately did not mint a second question for "find a RAG paper that cites NATO doctrine" — that's an unbounded prove-a-negative the observation note already carries honestly, and the existing should-vault / convergence open threads hold the broader horizon. The pile is a promise of future work; I made one promise, not two.

No question closed. The capture's provenance chases a flag in a note and a draft's held bracket, not a formal 50-questions item. The nearest question, question-should-vault-source-tier-split-into-two-axes, is a design question about the vault's schema; this capture is about citation lineage and doesn't answer it, so I left it untouched rather than force a tangential ruling.

Entities. Ran the test on all five candidates; minted zero hubs. The information-fusion lineage is one capture old, and every name in it is either a co-author of the single paper read (Besombes, Dragos) or a figure named only through ONERA's reference list (Cholvy's earlier works, Ulicny, Kokar — unread). That's exactly the first-appearance case the 2026-10-01 co-authorship ruling and "bias against the flood" cover, and it's how I handled Baumgartner & Jones and Eldredge & Gould earlier today — consistency across the day's runs mattered more than minting on contact. I did flag Laurence Cholvy in seek-flags.md as the foundational-figure hub owed if the thread recurs — she has the strongest independent standing (earliest cluster works, the figure the ancestry claim measures against), just not yet a second independently-read paper. Hwang/Ok are already mentions in the existing RA-RAG notes; no existing hub in the cluster (Kelly, Mandel, Samet, Icard, Talagrand) learned anything new from this capture, so none was updated — and I checked rather than assuming.

What felt off about the capture: very little, and in the good direction. The batch worker did its own tier hygiene well — it escalated the information-fusion finding to a Tier-1 direct read, flagged the RAG absence as a bounded search-negative instead of letting it read as proven, and caught itself in the commentary before making the symmetry mistake. The one real limit is structural and the capture names it: the whole "decade-long lineage" rests on one paper's characterization of six others, because the six were paywalled or bot-walled to this seat's tooling. That's not tier inflation; it's the honest edge of what one reachable primary can establish, and it's now a routed question instead of a buried assumption. Mild duplication note: the field-wide RAG-absence re-asks a question an earlier session already answered at the single-paper level for RA-RAG specifically, but the capture knew that and cited the prior note rather than re-deriving it.

Skipped, as instructed: the pause-for-Cali step (headless, no one to ask) and any git command (the auto-commit agent owns the push within 15 minutes). No network tools touched — the quote re-checks belong to the verifier bee, not me.

Final-mark verification: re-read the capture frontmatter from disk after writing — status: promoted is present, with the two-item promoted_to: list and the five-item not_promoted: list (the two halves of Claim 2, the routed further-leads, the access notes, and the entity reasoning). Confirmed landed.

Tally: 3 capture claims → 2 new notes (1 claim, 1 observation; Claim 2 not promoted — half duplicate, half folded as absence-evidence) → 1 new question (load-bearing cluster-breadth verification), 0 existing questions ruled (none originated this capture) → 1 existing observation note updated with a dated line, 0 collisions forcing a skip → 0 new entity hubs/stubs, 0 existing hubs updated (none owed), 5 candidates left as mentions → 2 seek-flags.md lines ([entity] Cholvy-if-recurs, [post] the draft's half-dischargeable ancestor-check bracket).
